Master of Science (expected in May 2014) from Columbia University School of Social Work, specializing in Social Enterprise Administration. Currently, I'm designing a social entrepreneur project: "Youth Civic Engagement & Community Resource Mobilization through a 'Social Credit System".

My professional life focuses on youth issues. I co-founded a social initiative fund, Unity Fund, in Kyrgyzstan in 2010 with a mission to support victims and their families during the civil uprising. At present, the fund members are working on various social volunteer projects and peace-building through providing opportunities for cultural learning and communication among youth. I am passionate about youth empowerment and I envision that every young citizen can be a potential community leader.

Moreover, my experience at Columbia University inspires me to advocate for social justice and the needs of the most vulnerable populations. I'm gaining practical experience through my internships at NYC NGOs. In addition to my social work program, I am pursuing individual studies of Social Investment and Impact Evaluation on my own. Meanwhile, I am also enrolled in a policy course, “Civil Wars and Peace Settlement”, through Columbia’s School of International and Politics Affairs. Having witnessed civic conflicts in China and Kyrgyzstan, this subject matter is deeply personal to me. This learning experience has provided me a comprehensive context in understanding and implementing peace settlement strategies.
