Asha Chaudhary

Asha Chaudhary was born in 1978, the same year her father Nand Kishore Chaudhary (NKC) started his carpet business. The eldest of NKC’s daughters, Asha is the CEO of Jaipur Rugs Inc. and heads the North American business interests. She is based out of Atlanta, GA.

Growing up in India’s remote villages and sharing playtime with artisans’ families, Asha has a deep understanding of traditionally marginalized communities. With her unique perspective Asha has been adding to the product line and JAIPUR’s customer base while building on her father’s vision of creating sustainable livelihoods at the grassroots.

After graduating from Emory University in 2001, Asha immediately joined her father in Jaipur to gain understanding of the business. She moved to Atlanta in 2005 to lead the company.The company has grown from being featured in just the typical rug specialty stores to over 2,000 trade customers coming from a comprehensive submission of retailers, online dealers, interior designers and individual clients etc.
Her knowledge of the American market and experience over the years has taken the company to new heights commercially, while providing a global platform to 40,000 artisans.
